BEAUTY: Celestial Palette by Sleek REVIEW

I really enjoy Sleek eye shadows especially in regard to the pigmentation of the products versus their prices.
I still have some issues with their eyeshadows with glitters within their matter.
On the other hand the foiled eye shadows are really nice and highly pigmented.

This palette really is for you if you like and enjoy blue toned make up.

READ: Breakfast At Darcy's by Ali McNamara

Girlier than girly, this bok I am writing about today is one very feel good read.

Darcy is a young fashionable woman who only thinks about fashion and beauty with brands in mind. her old aunt dies and Darcy gets into quite an odd adventure to get her aunt's inheritance.
What I enjoyed in that read is the surprising idea the author has had.
What I didn't enjoy as much, from his first occurance is Connor's character.
Of course, there are always characters you don't like but I feel like it is a bit sloppy of the writer to have left him this way and not to have tried to make us like him a bit more than we do.
It is however a very enjoyable book.
Very girl oriented, very sweet, it is good and you will have a great cosy afternoon with this book in hand.

READ: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower

Of all the teen oriented books you could pick up, this one is rather sincere and serious. the writing is bare and to the point. Nothing to do with all of the feel-good type of literature I happened to mention for the past weeks.

Charlie writes a journal and, in it, he puts all of his interogations and reflections without always having smooth transitions in between elements.
It is more or less the stream of consciousness of a young man (a biy rather) who doesn't have a very good sense of what he should know or not. All of the characters within his diary are supposedly all real but he had to change their names to make it ok to write down.In the same fashion, he pays very close attention to the informations which leek from his words he puts onto paper.
I recommend this book to anyone over 15 because "Charlie" is rather crude in his writing and because it is an age when we really start to build a mind of our own with distance in between what we read and what we think about it.

READ: The Great Christmas Knit Off

As I was walking around W.H. Smith, I bumped into that book in the Christmas section. You can check my instagram to see which other books I got that day.
To be entirely honest it is the cover which attracted me in the first place. The title was a bit intriging and, though I had heard of the trend, I wasn't that much the knitting kind. Knitting is the thing my grandma spent a fair amount of time teaching me but I stoped myself to canva. I now saw and work with felted wool. It is good enough for me.

Anyhow, one of my friends has picked up knitting therefore, I thought it was funny to find this particular book.
It is the story of poor Sybil who hasn't had the best of ucks as of lately. Her fiancé left her at the altar to run off with her twin sister (Rude!) and she did something very wrong at her work and can't go back for a while.
Though there is a love story, the book is mainly about girl power and taking over your own life, rather than finding Mister Right. However, if it happens in the process, it's always nice.
Add a cup of coco to your read and you are assured an amazing cosy week-end.

Food in Paris: Le Relais Gascon

When I went over there, I was following a friend who could not stop saying how much we were going to love their salades. If you are familiar with french food and cuisine, you will know that the South West cuisine is rich.
This salade was the best I have had in a long time. And my friends plates seemed just quite as apetizing as mine. It had everything: meat, foie gras, toast, potatoes, tomatoes, herbs and actual salad!

If you are walking around Montmartre, do go there for a very generous meal: 6 rue des Abesses, 18 arrondissement

BLOG: Losing all sense of logic

I spend an awful lot of time not doing anything.
My brain freezes while thinking of so many things.
I don't think this is actually procrastination, it is more about brain "organisation".
Scattered. This is what I am. Forgetful.
Whether it is in my actions or my speech, the delivery of my original thought or behaviour is always off and half of the time mistaken.
I thinks of too many things at once and, whatever message I want to convey ends up flawed.

Think fast but of one thing at a time.

HEALTH: Sleeping Beauty...?

I have had a cold lately.
It doesn't seem to want to go away and the weather deciding to switch every five minutes is not helping. I even ended up crying because my bag in which I had all of my groceries burst in the middle of a train station. Yep, it happened and though I am a major cryer, on a regular basis and outside of my home, I wouldn't have lost it.

Vitamins, lemon juice, magnesium and zinc are definitely supplements which would have helped me keeping my calm. But here is a breaking news for you: the best medecine comes from sleep and excercice.
I know it, we all know it and we still go to bed to insane hours and forget about doing our sport session. If you remember at the start of this year I took up yoga. Since my muscles are often sore and I am constantly stressed out, it was the best thing ever. But from doing it every day for six months, I am now doing it "if I find time" once to twice week.
Finally, sleeping is the best thing for our body. Even more so when it is cold outside and that a little bit of primarial hibernation takes over our brains and bodies.
So best advice to you, to be the best and strongest version of you rself is to sleep whenever you can and as long as it is possible.

MOVIE NIGHT! Life or something like it

What if you learned that you only have one week left to live...?
Though the general setting is the one of a classic romantic comedy,
this movie does raise a few questions and obviously makes you think back about your life and if you are really happy with it.
A cute and funny movie to have a nice evening and
to remind ourselves that success is all relative.
